Ultimate Garlic Breadsticks

      Supplies you will need

  • A cookie sheet with sides
  • Cooking non-stick spray
  • Large Head of Garlic
  • Pizza Dough (I purchase Pre-made pizza dough at my local Trader Joes for 1.35$)
  • Flour
  • 3/4 a stick of butter
  • Olive Oil
  • Dried Basil leaves
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Creamy Garlic Ranch Dressing

First, you need to place a little bit of flour on a cutting board and in your hands then stretch out the pizza dough flat on the cutting board so that the dough is about 1/4 inch thick throughout. The flour will help with the dough sticking to your hands and the cutting board.
*Note* do not use too much flour or the dough will thicken and not stretch.
Next, You need place the 3/4 stick of butter into a small bowl and microwave for about 10 seconds to soften the butter.
Peel about 10 Large cloves of garlic and place in a chopper, or chop very finely if you do not have a electric chopper. Put a tablespoon of olive oil in with the garlic along with the 3/4 stick of softened butter.
Mix or chop until it makes a paste. After the paste is made, add a dash of Basil leaves and mix that into the paste.
Next, you should spread the garlic butter onto the pizza dough evenly over the ENTIRE piece of dough which includes the outside edges.
Sprinkle with more basil if desired, and mozzarella cheese.
Cut dough into 1.5 to 2 inch stripes
Fold the strips in half and press lightly on the strip, so that the cheese will not fall out when twisted.
Twist the dough gently and place onto greased cooking sheet.
Place the bread sticks into the oven on the bottom rack at 450 degrees for 9 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. *You do NOT want your bread sticks over cooked because they will turn out hard and crunchy instead of soft and chewy. Also this time and temperature may be different depending on the type of pizza dough you use. **Refer to the dough temperature instructions for accurate results.
Remove the bread sticks from the oven and serve with creamy garlic ranch dressing as the dipping sauce.

I love garlic bread sticks and this is my favorite way to cook them. These taste just like the garlic twists you can buy at round table pizza.
    Try them!
Let me know if you like them.

Creamy Garlic Chicken and Ranch Pizza

To prepare the water to boil the chicken breast I added 1 clove of garlic cut in a few piece, one carrot, a few slices of white onion and thyme.

Next, I added two chicken breast with the bone in and skin on. Add water making sure that is just covers the chicken. Boil the chicken; covered, until you can easily stick a fork threw it. About 30 minutes. When done, let cool and remove the skin and bones. Shred chicken into pieces.

While the chicken is cooking you should roast the garlic. To roast garlic, Pre-Heat oven to 400 degrees, cut off the ends and remove as much of the outer wrapping as possible, place in foil with a little bit of olive oil and bake in the oven for 30- 45 minutes.

The rest of the ingredients include: Creamy Garlic Ranch Dressing, Olive Oil, Garlic, Bell Pepper, Red Onion, Mozzarella or 'Pizza' Cheese, Pizza Dough, Pizza Pan.

I purchased Pre-Made Pizza Dough at Trader-Joe's for about $1.35.
Spread the pizza dough into the pizza pan.

Cover with olive oil and roasted garlic spread evenly over top.

**My suggestion is to actually pre-bake the pizza dough for 5 minutes on the bottom rack of the oven at 450 degrees, because my crust did not turn out crispy or completely baked before the cheese wanted to brown.

Then take the pre-baked crust out of the oven and top with the creamy ranch dressing, chicken, bell peppers, red onion, olives, and cheese. Place the topped pizza back into the oven for another 5-8 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Let cool and enjoy!
